Today I’m sharing one of our family’s favorite meals – the beyond easy and incredibly simple french bread pizza recipe!
While I am not a food blogger, I do love a good, simple dinner. This is an almost weekly staple in our home lately, so I just had to share the goodness!
This meal is not only wildly affordable and simple to make, but it also mimics the taste of homemade pizza without all the stress. It’s a fan favorite in our home for more reasons than one.
Simple French Bread Pizza Recipe
This is one of those dinners that honestly could not be any easier or budget friendly. We usually have most of the ingredients on hand, so I just grab a loaf of fresh french bread and our favorite local pizza sauce from the store the week I know we are making it.
It feeds our family of 4 and, when paired with a salad, we usually have leftovers!
The possibilities are limitless!
You can vary up this recipe by changing the store-bought sauce or making your own! Vary your toppings, use freshly grated cheeses,
Simple French Bread Pizza Recipe:
1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Cut french bread down the middle to create two equal halves.
3. Drizzle bread with olive oil and bake for 4 – 5 minutes.
4. Add pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade). This recipe is in the sauce, so use your favorite!
5. Sprinkle cheese. We use pre-packaged mozzarella and grated parmesan, but freshly grated cheese would be a treat if you aren’t in a hurry!
6. Add desired toppings!
7. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes. Broil for an additional minute or so for a toasty top.
I hope you guys love this easy and budget-friendly dinner as much as we do!
Until next time,

1 (14 oz) loaf of fresh french bread
1 cup of your favorite pizza sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 package of pepperoni (or your favorite toppings!)
1/4 cup of olive oil (or desired amount)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
- Cut french bread down the middle to create two equal halves.
- Drizzle bread with olive oil.
- Put bread in the oven for 5 minutes and take out.
- Add pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni (or any other desired topping). I also added a dash of grated parmesan.
- Bake pizza 10 – 12, until cheese is melted and browned to your liking. I add an additional 1 – 2 minutes on broil to really toast the top and get it nice and crispy.
*I recommend moving your baking rack to the middle of your oven, to prevent overcooking on top or bottom.
