Hi friends! Let’s talk kitchen trends for 2025 and all that’s to come for the heart of the home in the new year. As a lady who spends a lot of time in her kitchen space, I’m so excited about the cozy, functional shift that’s taking place. Kitchen renovations are moving away from stark white kitchens and towards a warm and collected style – and it’s a beautiful thing.

What makes this years trends extra wonderful is the fact that they aren’t expensive or difficult to replicate. Let’s dive into all the goodness!

LATEST KITCHEN TRENDS OF 2025:

Warm and Bold Kitchen Cabinets

In recent years (probably the last 10 years! wow!), white cabinets have ruled. And while a white kitchen will always be a timeless choice in my opinion, we are now seeing warm and bold hues take center stage. This year is different from years past in the sense that we not only have one or two colors trending, but MANY colors.

Imagine deep creamy off-whites, greige, earthy yellow, terracotta, burgundy, forest green, rich navy—color palettes that truly ground a space. These earthy tones will be paired with warm wood cabinetry, brass hardware, and natural materials, blending a modern look with traditional style.

Collected Look

The “collected” look is all about mixing and matching pieces to create a kitchen that feels lived-in and loved on. We want it to look like real life happens here because – it does! Think antique rugs, vintage cookware, and artisanal ceramics. This is probably my FAVORITE thing about kitchen trends of 2025, because the sky is the limit here. This design style is about reflecting your personal style while creating a cozy, functional atmosphere.

Bringing in pieces like old hutches, copper pots, cookbooks, vintage salt and pepper shakers, etc. adds charm and gives the space a story to tell.

In new house design, interior designers are loving vintage-inspired items like faucets, toasters, ovens, and fridges for a mix of old and new.

Countertop Lamps

Small kitchen countertop lamps are one of the biggest trends for 2025. These charming light fixtures, with vintage-inspired designs like ceramic bases or brass accents, create a soft glow that makes the space feel warm and inviting.

If you do nothing else, add a cute little lamp to your kitchen countertop to add instant cozy and charm!

Countertop Backsplash

Instead of traditional tiles and grout, statement backsplashes made from the same material as the counter are trending. Designers love how this creates clean lines and a seamless transition for a modern kitchen look. Natural stone countertops – materials like honed marble, soapstone, and quartzite offer durability with natural elegance.

Lived-In Touches

The Nancy Meyers aesthetic is here in a big way. Think fresh flowers, bowls of fruit, glass cake domes filled with fresh baked goods, and displayed wood cabinetry filled with beautiful dishes. These elements create a space that’s both functional and full of character.

Aged Finishes

As seen in the past year, aged finishes like patinated metals and aged brass continue to shine. These details pair beautifully with bold colors and vintage-inspired pieces, giving your kitchen a timeless, cozy feel.

Natural Finishes

Natural elements are taking over. Natural stone countertops like soapstone, marble, and quartzite add striking contrast against modern elements, while matte, unpolished finishes on tiles and backsplashes emphasize texture. This trend is a nod to interior design trends focused on sustainable materials.

Closed Cabinetry Over Open Shelves

As much as I love open shelving, it’s not always the most practical storage solution. The return of kitchen cabinets offers a more functional solution, and a move back towards traditional. Glass doors on cabinets are a great way to keep the space feeling open without sacrificing practicality. And for those that love the display of the open shelf (me!), glass doors still allow for that.

Hidden Appliances

Hidden appliances (aka built-in appliances) are perfect for hiding not-so-pretty kitchen appliances and giving the kitchen a soft, clean look.

Pocket doors and butler’s pantries are also gaining popularity and are a smart storage solution
