Flaky, crispy crust with a melt-in-your-mouth soft inside. This easy white bread machine bread recipe is a crowd favorite every time!
Ingredients
1 (.25 ounce) rapid rise yeast (or any you have on hand)
1 cup warm water
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Add yeast, warm water, and sugar to bread machine.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes (or until yeast is nice and bubbly).
- Add flour, oil, and salt to bread machine. Careful not to pack your flour. For extra fluffy bread, aerate your flour by whisking it around in a bowl and then spoon into measuring cup.
- Select “Basic” white bread setting, 1.5 loaf for your bread machine dough cycle and start.
- Once bread machine has completed cycle (mine takes a couple of hours – about 2 1/2 hours – to complete the cycle).
- Let bread cool on a wire rack for 1 hour before slicing for best results!
