My name is Courtney, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I am a wife and mama living in the Midwest with a passion for making a beautiful home on a budget. Here, I share our DIYs, affordable and attainable design ideas, favorite recipes, and more.
I really have no desire to make a trendy home. As we know, trends come and go, and by the time you’ve caught up, the style has changed again! So my desire in everything that I do in our home and every project that we undertake is directed towards creating a home that fosters warmth, comfort, and peace for the people living in its walls (and those we are blessed to welcome into it).
It has been a journey for me in learning to do this, and learning to do it without a lot of money. With that being said – I am so grateful that it wasn’t handed to me. I have learned that creating a home (without much money to do it) takes patience, ingenuity, and a genuine love for what you are accomplishing. I have learned to love the process of making a beautiful home for our family. Everything that’s been done within our home, we have done ourselves. And almost everything you see has been thrifted, re-purposed, or built by hand. I have found this to be the most rewarding way – the most full heart way – to create our home. Patiently, with hard word, and with heart and intention behind every bit of it.
My hope is that something shared here might inspire, encourage, or give hope for your own home – no matter where you are beginning or how small your budget.
